Fiction hole - Japanese UFO manga

Picked this gem up over on the fabulous 50 watts books: "Genpei Akasegawa Super Science Kamishibai / Japanese-language publication from 1978". My Japanese is zero, so I'm missing the story but the imagery is amazing. Struggled to find much more information about this book in english, the author's wiki page is interesting, though no mention of this title.

I'm not a big manga fan (just the obvious things like Akira as a student back in the 90s), but this book looked so intriguing I had to pick it up. Here's a bunch of pictures:
